Dental Crowns in Borger, TX

A crown is a cap that covers a tooth that's been weakened by decay, a fracture, or a large old filling. With CEREC, Dr. Robertson can prep your tooth, design the crown, mill it from a ceramic block in the office, and bond it in place — all in a single visit.

When a crown is the right call

  • A tooth that has cracked or fractured
  • A large old filling that's failing
  • A tooth after root canal therapy to protect what's left
  • A badly worn tooth that needs its shape and strength restored
  • An implant that needs its visible tooth

How the same-day visit works

Dr. Robertson removes any decay and shapes the tooth so it can accept the crown. Then comes a digital scan — no putty tray — which goes into the design software. The crown is shaped on screen to match your bite and the tooth next to it, then sent to the in-office milling unit. A ceramic block is carved to match the design, polished, and bonded to your tooth. You leave with the permanent restoration, not a temporary.

Why same-day matters

A temporary crown is usually fine for the two weeks it takes a traditional crown to come back from the lab — usually. The cap can come loose, sensitivity can flare, and you have to come back for a second appointment. Skipping that whole phase makes the experience simpler and a lot less hassle.
