Fastbraces

Fastbraces in Borger, TX

Fastbraces is a bracket-and-wire system that typically finishes in about a year — sometimes in just a few months — where conventional braces usually need 18 to 30. The difference comes down to how the system moves the roots and crowns of your teeth at the same time instead of sequentially.

What's different about the system

Traditional braces move the crown of the tooth first — the part you see above the gum — and then spend the back half of treatment repositioning the root. Fastbraces uses a triangular bracket and a heat-activated wire that get both moving together from day one. Shorter total treatment time, and many patients find the movement more comfortable because it's spread across the whole tooth instead of concentrated at the crown.

Metal or ceramic brackets

Fastbraces comes in traditional metal brackets or ceramic brackets that blend in with the tooth color for a more discreet look. Ceramic is a popular choice for adults who want the speed of Fastbraces but would rather not have metal showing. Dr. Robertson will go through both options at your consultation and give you a clear sense of timeline and cost before you commit.
